Eco Friendly

Eco-friendly processes, also known as environment-friendly, nature-friendly, or green processes, are a set of sustainability and marketing terms that aim to reduce, minimize, or eliminate harm to ecosystems or the environment. Companies use these terms to promote goods and services, sometimes with additional certifications, such as ecolabels. However, the overuse of these terms can be referred to as greenwashing. The International Organization for Standardization has developed ISO 14020 and ISO 14024 to establish principles and procedures for environmental labels and declarations. Eco-friendly processes are a subclass of quality and are part of sustainability, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of human activities. According to the United Nations, the adoption of eco-friendly processes can help promote sustainable development. The European Union has implemented policies to promote eco-friendly practices, such as the EU Eco-Label scheme.
